Will we be doing intermediate storage areas for pencils and standardise decision making?” And the attempts to “lean” administrative and service processes usually end like this. On the one hand, they are right – service and administration is different than production. For example, it would be difficult to “store” ready services in End Products Stockrooms, customers may hesitate more, the diversity of made decisions seems to be unlimited,….. however

How to lean administration?

    Use our proposal of learning through playing games to introduce smoothly, and even excitingly, your workers into Lean Office world.     Box version of Lean Admin Game

Information about the game

    Lean Admin Game, similarly as other games of this type, originates from Hewlett Packards “Stockless Production” game and video film from 1983. Joakim Hillberg from Chalmers University of Technology has adopted this game to administrative processes. He is among the best European experts at improving simulation games.  Joakim Hillberg was already being prepared to this type of tasks at Toyota JMAC & Shingijutsu. Apart from Lean Admin Office, he also prepared: Lean Game (available also on Polish market), Supply Chain, Lean Knowledge Builder and Lean Development. Lean Admin Game was tested by a professional training company Revere in Sweden. And then, after further corrections and improvements it became available in other countries, including Poland thanks to Polish Productivity Center.

     We offer the purchase of box version of administrative process simulation game for internal use for companies and universities. 1 copy of game materials along with the instruction  + training for companies trainers and obtaining Lean Admin Office trainer licence (number of trained trainers 2-12 people) costs 10 000 zł – 4 training days, 2 experts from Polish Productivity Center.

    Lean Admin Game – all in one box

    What is the game course? Basic version of the game consists of 3 rounds lasting 15 minutes each. Number of players: 7-15 people. After each round, the score is summed up, and strong and weak points are discussed along with the ways of improving the process. The game can last 3 hours, or even 2 days if linked with Lean Office training. At the beginning, “University Recruitment Office” had a chaotic layout and slightly rationally organised workers load, whereas customers/candidates are sending a package of applications for admission into one of faculties about every 2 minutes. Participants are obliged to make correct decisions, submit it to the candidate quickly and collect study fee. Usually just the first round turns out to be a catastrophe, but participants have a lot of ideas to change the status quo. Only 2 workers can remain at the end of game. But the university greatly manages to send answers quickly and no mistakes are made.  It is obvious that a well-organised work is less expensive.

     Within box version of Lean Admin Game, the interested people will receive:

•    the Game - laminated board with workplaces and equipment, a special stopper, individual instructions with roles for players, materials for processing (candidates laminated applications to become students and recruitment results forms), office materials (clips, envelopes, scissors), calculating sheets for calculating scores (Excel), box for the game.
