Biuro jest w tym ujęciu fabryką informacji z wieloma cechami fabryki (np. stratami). Makigami to dosłownie “Zwój Papieru” lub „Plan Akcji” (Jap.) Nazwa wzięła się od wielkich arkuszy szarego papieru rozwieszonych na ścianach. Z pomocą karteczek Pos-it i zapisanych informacji uwzględnia 4 obszary: 1. Działania różnych części organizacji 2.
